The house
Paper is the edit.
SYNTHAUS is a print house for pictures made with models, working in the United Kingdom. Season 04 is eight editions: some photographed as if they were places, some photographed as objects we built. The studio sits beside the catalogue for a single open proof. Colour is held in the paper, not painted on afterwards.
An edition has a number and a stop. A proof does not. Both leave the house the same way — a size, a paper, a frame or a tube. We do not print prompts that depend on readable lettering. Type fails the sheet more often than the picture does.
